Want to track Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) data for your applicants? You can easily enable EEOC Survey reporting in your account.
What is the EEOC?
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is a U.S. government agency that enforces federal anti-discrimination laws in hiring. Enabling this survey helps ensure your hiring process stays inclusive and compliant. Learn more here.
Note: The EEOC survey will only appear for jobs that exist in the United States. If you're hiring internationally, this survey won’t be available for those positions.
Enabling the EEOC Survey
Follow these quick steps to turn on the EEOC survey in your account:
Go to Account Details
- Click the Main Menu icon in the top right corner of your account.
- Select Account Details from the dropdown.
Navigate to Application Settings
- Scroll down to the Customize & Design section.
- Click on the Applications button.
Enable the EEOC Survey
- Scroll down to the Equal Opportunity Survey section under Additional Options.

(Optional) Disable OFCCP Questions
- By default, the survey includes OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) questions about Veteran and Disability status.
- If you prefer, you can disable these questions here.
What Happens After You Enable It?
- Once enabled, applicants for your U.S.-based jobs will see the EEOC survey during their application process.
- Their responses will be securely collected and stored in your Reports section.
- If you’re a paying customer, you can download EEOC reports as a CSV file filtered by time frame and job position.

Understanding the EEOC Gender Column
In compliance with federal guidelines, the following gender identity options appear in your EEOC report:
EEOC Report Code | Meaning |
---|---|
M | Male |
F | Female |
X | Non-Binary |
Other | Another gender identity |
Prefer not to answer | Chose not to disclose |
- If an applicant did not complete the survey, this column will be blank in your report.
- Some applicants may skip the survey or apply through sources like Express Apply, which may not include EEOC data.
For reference, we’ve attached a sample EEOC survey form and a sample CSV export to help you understand the data format. You can find both at the bottom of the page.
